Hello Khalid, thank you for your question. The next intake for BSc Psychology will be in September 2020.

Michel asked:

Hello, I have got a grade B in my IGCSE as a second language. Will it be applicable for direct admission to Bsc Business Management?

Naomi replied:

Hello Michel,

The entry requirements for direct entry onto our BSc Business Management programme is three A Levels, typically AAB. For entry onto the four-year programe which has an integrated foundation year, the entry requirements are three AS Levels, usually of ABB.

You should have completed year 12 in order to be considered for a degree programme at the University of Birmingham. If you would like any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us at

Many thanks

Tommas asked:

Hello, I saw that there are opportunities of one year in an industry and wanted to know, are they paid internships? If yes, what is average wage?

Naomi replied:

Hi Tommas,

Thanks for your message, our Year in Industry programmes are completed in 3 years; the placements are completed in 3.5 months at the end of your first year and second year. This is the equivalent of the 4-year programme at the Edgbaston campus. Although we can’t guarantee a paid placement, all employers are expected to make a financial contribution to the placement. This could be in the form of reimbursement for transport, meals or payment for your time.

90% of the internships we arrange for our students are paid placements, but the payment varies depending on the duration and the type of placement.

Many thanks

Michel asked:

Hello! In my application there is a section where I need to upload my previous education. Do I need to include IGCSEs and my current course?

Naomi replied:

Hi Michel, Thank you for your question. You should upload your current qualifications to the admissions portal in order for us to fully consider your application. If you are still in education, you can upload your predicted grades. You will receive a conditional offer based on your final grades.

Many thanks

Jack asked:

Hello, I wanted to know once I apply and get an offer, till which date do I have time to confirm the offer?

Naomi replied:

Hi Jack, We advise students to accept their offer as soon as possible to secure their place. If you would like to receive the additional 10% advance scholarship for your first year of study, you will need to pay your tuition fee deposit by 31st July.

Thanks again for your question,

Best wishes
